We take rapid action to protect threatened habitats while supporting communities.

WLT-US Patron and honored scientist E.O. Wilson estimates that we are losing 137 plant and animal species from the rainforests every single day. Our model of direct land purchase effectively stems this loss. Also, in partnering with people on the ground in the countries where we work, we provide education, training, and economic assistance in the form of jobs and eco-tourism at our Reserves.

We hold Charity Navigator's coveted 4-Star Rating and have very low overhead.

WLT-US maintains a small and highly experienced staff in the US. Our CEO was even listed on Charity Navigator's Top 10 Highly-Rated Charities with Low Paid CEOs. We also consistently earn the highest rating from the independent evaluator  for being one of the most efficient conservation nonprofits in the United States.
